How we use your details.
What the club keeps about members and donors, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Gantaal Football Club (P.O. Box 35185-00100, Nairobi) keeps the details you give us when you apply to become a member or tell us about a gift. We follow Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we keep: your name, mobile number, town, and email if you give one; for a member under 18, a parent or guardian's name and number; and the M-Pesa codes and amounts of your payments and gifts.
Why: to check payments against the club's M-Pesa messages, run your membership (your member number, renewals, the members' area, general meetings), send receipts, and keep the records the club's audit and Annual General Meeting need. We never sell your details or use them for advertising.
Who sees them: the club's officials who run memberships and payments, and the auditor appointed by the members. Your name appears on the club's supporters' list, or with a thank-you for a gift, only if you tick the box that asks for it.
How long: while you are a member, and afterwards only as long as the club's accounts and audit need the payment records.
Your rights: you can ask to see the details we keep about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted when the club no longer needs them for its accounts. Call or WhatsApp the club to ask.
